Suppressing audible clicks on Samsung default keyboard !!

Apologies in advance for the dumb question, but I'm new to Android and to this Galaxy S, and this is day 1 ! Although so far it's going well overall, I can't see any way to suppress the keyboard clicks when using the Samsung keyboard, and it's driving me crazy. The only alternative would appear to be Swype, which from a quick try might be a good option, but could take a little getting used to.

Any advice would be welcome, thanks.

menu, settings,sounds and display, scroll down, audible touch tones , uncheck it.

It is a good idea to get used to swype though. Speeds up typing a lot.

And snapper.fishes, I've had a bit of time with it now and agree that Swype is worth persisting with as it definitely speeds up progress.
