I recently got a new phone that was possibly stolen? it isn't activated yet. tried to do so thru the virgin mobile site but it says the phone is suspended. i bought it off someone online. i got it with all the papers, no receipt tho. any way around being suspended?

Called up tech support like 5 times. This last time tho the guy bypassed the issue and activated the phone proper. Awesome! Thought I was assed out.

Just goes to show that the key to dealing with VM customer service is persistence. Eventually you will find someone who can help and actually knows what they're doing.

I could never understand Virgins replacement policy, most companies want the old phone before replacement and when they do cross ship they put a hold on your card. Virgin suspends service on both phones if they don't receive the original back, leaves them out two phones and any possibility of future income.:confused:

Really? As a customer I really appreciate that policy. I minimize my downtime, Virgin pays for shipping in both ways and am treated well.

It's an old-fashioned concept called good customer service and a very good reason to stay with this carrier. When it's ultimately a commodity, why not stay with the vendor that treats you the best??

I fully understand the concept and worthiness of good customer service, the point was even postpaid carriers don't do this, in the cutthroat would of prepay with miniscule ARPU monetarily it still doesn't make good financial sense.
