swapping to Android

After a year of BBerry, I'm switching to Android on my Cellular South carrier. Csouth has the best reception where I live and they are really pushing android. The phones they have to choose from I'm interested in are the HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy S, and HTC Wildfire. These are the phones they have now. I'm not sure if there are any new models coming out this year they will carry.

What are your thoughts, and which phone would you recommend?

Thanks.

I have a Desire S, which is the newer version of the Desire. My Mum has the Wildfire. There is a Wildfire S out now too. The Desire is faster and bigger than the Wildfire, has a bigger and better quality screen and more memory. The Wildfire is more of an entry level Android phone, but it's still a smartphone. It's fine for my Mum's use - texts, calls and pictures. If you want to use it for gaming, browsing and watching videos you might want to think about the Desire. If you go and look at them with the screens on, the difference will be obvious.

I haven't had a Samsung smartphone. I did have a Samsung Pixon 12 until a year ago and although it was a good, sturdy build, the user interface was horrible and I traded it in as soon as I could for that reason. However, the Galaxy is a popular phone so this may well have been improved.

Get a HTC Desire! They are the best! They are older than the Desire S but better because you can root the Desire and install custom ROMs to really make the phone you own and hacking the phone is half the fun. :D - whereas you can't do any of that on the Desire S as it has security on it to prevent rooting :)
