Any way to make Swype uncensored ?
If android is so open it should allow me to send texts with filthy words instead of "####"

ok. the bad words are in the swype dictionary. i had to highlight the word, hit the swype key, and it asked if i wanted to delete the word. i said no. now it recognizes that i am a vulgar person and uses the word i want to use instead of suggesting "duck" or "assume"

If you just "type" it out once and send the message, it will recognize it next time you try and swype the same word.

That's quite interesting that they would actually filter them out like that, but then again it might make sense with the dictionary they use, I get my vibrant next week and I'll be sure to do this first haha.

I just tried all my favorite 4 letter words and it worked fine. I didn't even have to add them. Well, 1 or 2 I did, but not most of them.

Stop complaining about censors with apps like Swype. What if a person didn't type out the profanity and the dictionary suggests it? The company could get sued.

Just type the word once and it's stored in Swype's dictionary.

I have not had any problem. I mean sure Swype didn't come default with cuss words, but this problem is fixed easily because you see if you were to type *** manually with the swype keyword it will remember you used that word that way and then you will be able to Swype ***.

They don't have them in the dictionary by default because they REALLY don't want them showing up by accident if you actually were typing "duck" (as an example).

Yeah, they could get sued. Sure.

Yeah, they could get sued. For realzies. Would they win? Who knows. Take this for example: Little Suzy Snowflake is swyping along when suddenly a rather colorful word pops up in swype's suggestions. Horrified, she runs to mommy to show her. Mommy now wants someone to pay for scarring her Little Suzy Snowflake.

This is America. People have sued for a lot, lot less.

Something's _wrong_ with my SWYPE... Yikes.... :)

It allows me to type whatever I want... now what do I do? .... ha..ha...ha...

If not for SWYPE, my touchscreen experience would be slow, boring and dull.

Cheers...
