Root Sweet solution to "Low on memory" (root required)

By now, we must all know about the 150MB limit on the /data/data partition and how easy it is to fill it up, resluting in those annoying "Low on memory" messages. And this while there is like 6Gb free on the phone itself!!

Solution: NotEnoughSpace

On the Incredible, you have loads of /emmc space so don't use NES to move app data to SD. Instead, create an "NES Partition" which is a virtual disk in a container file, and select /emmc for the location. This effectively allows you to extend your /data/data partition by any reasonable amount. I created a 200Mb one, giving me a total of 350Mb for app data. Now move the space hog app's data to the NES partition. That's it homey! In Applications/Running Services, you can see the effect of moving stuff on the space left in /data/data.

I know the above are brief instructions, but if you rooted your phone (required) surely you can figure out NotEnoughSpace, especially if you man up and read the help he provided.

I now have over 100MB free in /data/data.
