Email on HTC Thunderbolt Completed

We have just released an update (v. 2.0.5.120) that should fix this issue for you! Please check the market in a couple of hours by which time the update should be available :)

Sarah Reynolds
Frontline Support Lead, SwiftKey

The update (Version 2.0.5.120) is now available on the Market AND NOW on Amazon. If you got this on Amazon before yesterday, be very careful that you don't 'upgrade' to the older, white version. If you got the new, black SwiftKey X for free on Amazon yesterday, Amazon may not yet say that you have an upgrade available but if you uninstall and re-install SwiftKey X you will get Version 2.0.5.120 which works with the HTC email app on the ThunderBolt.

Way to go, Sarah & James!

Thanks, Robrecht

What was the glitch, for those of us who don't know?
In the stock HTC email app, word prediction had been turned off in the SwiftKey X (because the suggested words had been covering up the text window in the original version of SwiftKey). Word predictions are important to SwfitKey because its whole purpose is to predict what you are typing. Uses artificial intelligence algorithms and learns from your past (Facebook, Gmail, Twitter) and current use of language. Typing can become incredibly fast and easy, sometimes only needing to type 1 or 2 letters per word.

I just got this from amazon app store and so far really like it compared to stock keyboard - pretty nifty! Quick question, though...in stock when you want to remove the keyboard from the screen, there is a keyboard icon on left bottom that you hit and it removes it. When you are using swifkey, how do you go back and forth from keyboard on/off like that when you momentarily want to remove it from the screen and just see your text only (i.e. when you're on a website and enter some text but then want to go back to the whole screen to navigate to another field, etc.).

Thanks gang. And thanks for the tip on this app.!

You can hide the keyboard by swiping quickly down the keyboard. To reveal it again just click the text field that you were typing in. Hope that helps!

Yep...that's the ticket - thanks!

I'm liking this keyboard app. so far - and I also like the way it does voice recognition. I just may use that feature now that it's so easy...and more accurate!

Long press on Menu screen 'button' at the bottom of the screen also toggles the keyboard on and off. I find that easiest. You can also turn if off with the back 'button'.
