Help Swipe Gesture on LP Dock

Does anyone use the swipe gesture on the dock icons for Launcher Pro? If you don't know about it... long press an icon on your dock and you can program what you want the swipe gesture to do when you swipe up on the specified dock icon. I recently rediscovered it and am trying to find any good ideas of how I can utilize them. Also, it would be good to share with everyone else! I think this is a great feature that if used well, can really speed up actions.

I played with this feature a bit also but cant really find much use for it, I already use 3 dock pages and I dont really feel like I need more buttons.

Actually, you're not adding any buttons at all. All you are doing is assigning two actions to a single icon. For instance, on my email icon if I just press it it goes to email but if I swipe it up it goes into my jorte calandar.

So for me, on my first 5 dock icons I have a swipe gesture on each one giving me basically 10 functions. I find it very useful.

I love the swipe gestures.

I try to use "related" icons. So, I have a Maps icon, and swiping it launches Navigation. I have a Phone shortcut, and swiping it launches Google Voice. Swiping my Gmail shortcut launches text messaging. Swiping my browser icon launches my secondary browser.

I made swiping the phone take me to recent calls, contacts is also a good one for that. I made swiping email bring up compose for a new email and swiping text message icon brings up the quick composes for a new message in ChompSMS.
