Can you switch the droid 3 to landscape mode while the keyboard is closed?
I'm having an issue when I put the phone in a GPS mount. I usually start the google maps gps navigation to somewhere, and then when I put the phone in the mount (just a generic mount) in landscape mode, it works fine and the gps switches to landscape mode. The Problem come when trying to do anything outside of the google navigation. When I hit home or switch to another app, the orientation switches to portrait, but when I go back to the gps, it is in landscape again, so the phone is detecting the landscape orientation but only in the gps app.
had this same issue with the d1, anyone have any ideas on this?
