Switched a sprint 4g phone to ST, now only getting 3g

Hi. I'm a newbie but learning pretty quickly. I just switched a sprint samsung galaxy s SPH-D700 4G over to ST and am now only getting 3G. How can i get 4G back? Or can i using ST?

It's through the BYOP program. phone is compatible and all other services are working. They said that they cant guarantee all services. It's a 4G phone so there has to be a way to get it back to 4G. A code or hidden menu. It isn't rooted to the best of my knowledge and not quite sure how to do that or if that would even help. Thank you for the help!
was Sprint, now ST
Model: SPH-D700
Firmware version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: s:D700.0.55.FC09
Kernal version: 2.6.35.7
Build #: Gingerbread.FC09
Hardware version: D700.0.5

If I am correct that Samsung is a wimax 4g phone that only 4g technology would work with sprint if it was in your area which sprint is working to change wimax to LTE.

Yes, I was reading something about that earlier today. I know that ST supports LTE cuz my last phone was but it was AT&T. So, what are my options at this point? I like ST, have been with them for awhile. I like this phone, I know it's a little outdated but it has been well taken care of, very nice phone.

Are you rooted and have u got into the hidden menu . Dont know if u have a hybrid mode on ur device . but u may need to call st aka straight talk for them to help you configure the device special settings and build dot prop editing

I bought it used from a friend so i don't know if it's rooted but it was unlocked. How can I tell if it's rooted? No, I haven't gotten into the hidden menu. Is there a code for that?

You will need to find out if sprint sells 4g service to straight talk. I know verizon does not. both att and t mobile do, I have used both on 4g lte.
