Switching between ROMs

Do I use CWR (manage and restore backups) to switch between different roms?

or do i have to load rom from (reboot into recovery) clearing everything that needs clearing and load from zip?

Thanks I'm trying to decide what rom i like best

You need to use the recovery menu each time you switch a rom. Make sure to nandroid first just in case something goes wrong or if you like the rom your clearing you can go back to it without having to resetup everything.

Reboot to recovery, nandroid

Wipe data/Factory Reset, Wipe cache, Wipe Davlik cache
Go to partions, Format Boot, Format System, Format data, Format Cache

No need to do all this if restoring a back up, it clears all out before restoring, simply boot into recovery and restore, but yes create a new back up when trying to restore incase you have not restored in a few days and you installed a new app or have changed a setting, this way you will have all that backed up before

+1 I was assuming she would be flashing new roms to try them out. But if you have already nandroided the rom you want to flash back to then don is right just restore.
