Help Switching from Epic 4G - SD card issues

I had basic 8gig microSD card in Epic. I thought I could just put it in my EVO and life would be good. It shows memory used on the card, but no apps or data.

I took Epic card and put in card reader, copied to folder on my computer. Connected EVO via usb and copied contents over. Again, shows space used on Evo card, but can't read apps.

I'm using App 2 SD Pro to look at card.

I backed everything up on Epic card via MyBackupPro and thought I could just put in card, install MyBackupPro then "restore" my Evo to same condition as Epic.

What am I doing wrong?

What should I be doing to transfer all apps and data over from epic to evo?

MicroSD card in Evo is stock 8gig card.

Thanks,

jeff

I don't think you're doing anything wrong, but it may be that your new phone is having trouble accessing the data because of the HTC overlay code. You might be able to get help from the more technically oriented XDA forums, but it seems like that's the issue.

The data's there, but the SS Touchwiz code isn't accessing it 100% identically to the way HTC Sense does (encoded it when you saved on your Evo).

Not sure if it's practical to do all your info, but you might be able to bump some of the data using the app Bump from the Evo to your new phone. I think Bump just moves the raw data.

Thanks for the reply. I got it figured out. I was able to download my backup program and it was able to grab my apps off the sd card.
