Help Switching from MetroPCS... how are 3G speeds?

I have a Huawei Ascend from Metro PCS and that phone is real slow and is only on a 1x data speed. I know I get about 14kbs down speed so is it any faster on VM's network? The plans are about the same ($50 per/ mo. on Metro and about $40 plus tax on VM) Also which is a better phone in your opinion.. the Optimus or Intercept?

Optimus, and i had metro and it sucks, VM is way better.

Really depends on your area im in OC california and I get speeds from 400kbps to 1.4mb depending on the time of day and where im at. Most of the time though im around 400kbps which is lightning fast compared to MetroPCS. I even tried a friends phone with Metros 4G LTE service and it didnt seem any faster than my 3G speeds. VM aka Sprints network is way better than Metros network hands down.

How is metropcs speed in new brunswick, NJ anyone there knows how is it? What is better speed talking: metro, virgin, cricket? I have tmobile and sucks.

Stay away from the Intercept.

I have both phones. Stay away from the Intercept. The Op V is the better of the two, hands down and without question.

Got it, lg esteem metroPCS in new brunswick,NJ is 4G!! is amazing fast, you can stream whatever u want. And this 4G is not a good 3g. This 4G is a 4G.
