Root switching from simplicity 2.0 to CM10

I installed the latest cm10 coming from simplicity 2.0.0, let the phone boot, and then went and advance restored /data. what I noticed, though, is that I lost root privileges. titanium backup says it's a /system/xbin/su error. superuser keeps denying all SU requests, and installing superSU from a zip file didn't help. any ideas? (I also went back and advance restored /system.)

Never advance restore data. You're switching ROMS so don't do that. Only use titanium backup.

I advance restored data from CM10 onto CM10, I'm not dumb xP
I guess I'll try a factory reset, and see if I get root back.
