Switching from Sprint to Verizon

Is there anything specific you want to know about? That might help people responding know what to post.

If you want to keep your current number make sure to port the number before canceling your Sprint account. Also, you can't use a Sprint phone with Verizon.

I moved from Sprint to Verizon. Sprint had unlimited data but it was dialup speed so it felt like they were stealing money. A lot of dropped calls. Verizon's network was excellent but for only 2GB of data it was too expensive. I missed the unlimited data so I ported over to T-Mobile. T-Mobile is where I am staying.

I've been with with VZW for 12 years. I've been very happy with them until they took away our ability to upgrade without losing unlimited. The positives are that they are just about the best at coverage and customer service, but the negatives are that you will pay dearly for it.

I switched to Sprint from Verizon for the unlimited data. However, the two places I spent the most time, work & home, is where I had the worst coverage. Phone didn't get 4G til I went on a business trip to Austin, TX about 10 days after purchase. I lasted for about 6mo before I couldn't take it anymore. Slinked back to Verizon with my tail between my legs & got the coverage I needed. With Sprint, I NEVER got 4G coverage in my home; only 3G, 2 bars at most if I wasn't on wifi. I guess in the end, you need to consider what's most important to you. For me it was a good signal, so I'm willing to pay more. I am however, looking into this purchasing of unlimited Verizon plans, which I only heard about last week from a CSR @ a Verizon store.
