Help Switching SD card - Desire specific experience

I've seen this topic with other Android phones, but I'm still not sure if changing a memory card in the Desire is really as easy as it should be...

eg. copy the stock card content to a folder on my PC, move all that to the new card, mount it to the phone and done? Apps, settings, etc unchanged?

Anyone out there been through this?

You could try using a card reader and formatting the SD card and see whether your desire is able to read the sd card. Good luck!
