Help Switching to a different memory card

Can someone please outline what I need to do to switch from my 2gig to my 16gig without losing everything? Is it as simple as copying the 2gig to a folder on my computer, and throwing that folder in the 16 gig?

that's all there was to it when i switched from the free 2gb to a larger one i had laying around.

Same here going from 2gb to 8gb, just copied everything from the 2 to the 8. everything seems to be working fine doing that.
