There is always a good worthy Android phone for you.
A Blackberry 9780 is nice, but I wish you asked about that too. Its another phone in the "sunset" period, and the architecture is even more obsolete, since there are more modern Blackberry that are far more powerful to come. But it will do if you're planning only to use it as something to fill the time before you find a "worthy" phone. But as a long term investment itself, it's not something I would aim for, even for a Blackberry.
What you need is a "sunrise" phone.
The reason the 9780 isn't in my recommended list is the paltry 256mb storage for both OS and apps, and a weak 624mhz processor. I got a daughter with the 9700 and we got issues with it, mainly reboot loops when the phone runs out of its small internal phone memory.
