Help Swype 3.0

I got an email today about the availability of Swype 3.0 beta. I'm unrooted and can't figure out how to install it. Based on the Swype forums, I'm not sure it's possible due to the fact that it's factory preinstalled on the DC. You first need to uninstall the old version before you can install the new one, which isn't possible (unrooted).

Anyone figure it out?

Is there any reason you want to install the beta rather then just using the one already on the phone?

... just curious...


Typically, the version included in the phone is night and day better than betas FWIW.

3.0 has some new features that the included version does not.

I just read the last bullet point of the link I posted. Looks like the newest version won't work. Oh well....
