LOL why let someone else try it? don't be scared...what's the worse that can happen, it won't brick your phone, it will either work or not, if it doesn't then uninstall it...

EDIT!!! Make sure you delete the other version of Swype off your phone before you re-load this one.

Never done this before, but always wanted to try QR code sharing... link below if you don't want to scan.

Tried, and it didn't work.

I have the offical Beta, i'm just in a catch 22 because since my phone is rooted, it doens't think it's an Eris, and therefore I can't DL it from my e-mail link.

i grabbed that file and can't seem to do anything with it, even using Astro.

i grabbed that file and can't seem to do anything with it, even using Astro.

It's probably named .apk.zip
Windows hides the .zip
Go to folder options, and under view, uncheck hide extensions for unknown filetypes. Hit apply. After that, right click the file, properties, and it will probably have the .apk.zip. Delete the .zip part. Hit ok, and it should ask if you want to continue. You can recheck the hide extensions box also.

Figured it out, mine was saying trial ended too so got a different version and its great!
