Help Swype beta suddenly required a complete re-install

Last night my beta install of Swype (latest 2.15 version for Incredible) stopped working and displayed a message that my device was not supported with the installed version. Rebooting the phone had no effect. It has been working since the update on December 3rd. Did this happen to anyone else?

Uninstalling and reinstalling worked after I removed both Swype and Swype installer.

One follow up question. Every time after rebooting my Incredible I must do the "Input Method Dance" for Swype to work. That is, I must long press in a text field, click Input Method, choose Touch Input and then repeat choosing Swype. Without doing that Swype entry does not work. I have always had to do this with Swype on the Incredible. Is this normal? Note: I'm not asking about the very first time after installing Swype, but every single time the device is powered on.

since starting to use swype again (i switched handsets too many times, they had to clear out my beta account for me, so it's been several weeks without swype), i have to do the input method dance all the time, too. not every time, but almost daily. i wish i could figure out how to avoid this. the forums on the swype site list the problem as a known problem, but their solution is to do the input method dance. so...not really helpful.

I have had the same problem. I bump charge my phone then when i try to use swype it will let me individually hit buttons to form a word but if I try to scroll a word it won't do anything. Then I switch the input and eventually switch it back and it will work again. But this is really frustrating.
