Swype beta update 10-18-12

So Swype updated last night. There are now 10 themes to chose from, a mobile dictionary, and a feature that adds (hot words) to the dictionary. While I love the themes, the other two I really don't care.
Since the update though, the vibrate on keypress feature is not working with the swype keyboard. Yes, the box is checked in settings.
Has anyone else had this problem, know of a fix?

They changed how the vibrate feels i am pretty sure. It is now a very light vibrate, like barely able to tell at all, while some like it because it is a different feel, i enjoyed the big vibrate so i could actually tell that the keyboard was responding to my key presses.

I hope they change it back.
If this is the new vibrate, they might as well just leave the feature out. I can't tell the difference between vibrate and non-vibrate now.

I've been using the last version released before Nuance bought them, from probably a year ago. I strongly favor the feature of long pressing the delete button to delete whole words. If I goofed up a word, I don't want to delete individual letters at a time! I saw on the Swype forums about people asking for this feature to be returned. Has this happened in this latest version?

No, It has not returned. Still has the quick delete of the whole word. I dont mind this option so much. I just wish they would give you an option to choose.
They def need to fix the vibrate option, as there is a check box under preferances and it has no effect.

That sounds like what I want. Deletes the whole word if I long press it. Confirm?

Nope, sorry for the confusion. Deletes the whole word with a short press.

On another note. I did check the swype forum and the issue of the vibrate not working is being well documented in a 4 page thread.
An administrator on the site did take note of the issue. So hopefully they will fix it soon.
They also had a problem with many phones not being able to download the new update. Swype had an Alert on the beta page saying they will have a fix for that this week. Hopefully the vibrate issue is fixed as well!

I received another update today. Per the forum on Swype website the change log indicates the vibration problem is fixed. I wouldn't know for sure because I keep the vibration feedback turned off.

I just read the news story on the home page here about the new SwiftKey Flow that is coming out. I've seen the hype about previous versions of SwiftKey but didn't try it because I prefer the finger sliding in Swype. So now that SwiftKey is going to have it I signed up for the beta test to see which one I like better.
