Swype for the Triumph

Thanks NorCal. I was looking for that download. Not sure about the disclaimer that Swpe can save all of your key strokes though. Still love the app.

Hi guys,
I installed swype (thanks) but until I get used to it I would like to swap in and out to the stock keyboard. How do I do this. I selected "Android Keyboard" from the settings but it looks different to the one I was using before I changed anything.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

You can change between keyboards by LONG-PRESSING in an input area. A dialog will come up allowing you to select the keyboard you want to use.

Besides Swype, I'm enjoying SwiftX.

Haven't DL Swype for this phone yet, have it for the Dinc and love it.

I am currently enjoying on both SwiftX, pretty cool!

One of the first things I put on as well. I love swype. Have not had a chance to try any of the others yet since it works so well for me.

It was one of the first things I downloaded as well, but I don't really use it anymore. I just kept making too many mistakes (even with the highest error tolerance setting) and it was a pain having to fix them. Also, the auto spacing made it very difficult to type smileys. (Such as :O or :P)
Currently using the Gingerbread keyboard. Seems to be faster for me than swype--even if I butcher a word it still somehow corrects it.

That's 1 of the issues I have with Swype. Supposedly, it was corrected. People was having issues with the app, the longer you use the worse the accuracy. An update was applied but, for me, it still became problematic the longer I used it.

Still, can't beat it for one hand texting!
