Help swype not working

My brother in law just got a droid x and for some reason the second row of his keyboard in swype just doesn't work. When you switch back to the stock input the regular keyboard works fine. Anyone have this issue? I also looked to uninstall and reinstall it but it doesn't show up in the list of applications.

Go into settings and then applications, find the Swype app and clear the data and cache.

Ah, I didn't even see the option to change the app location from downloaded, running, on sd card, etc. I found it now. I'll give that a shot. Thanks.
