Help Swype tablet version on note 2?

The tablet version of Swype lets you drag the keyboard to one side of the screen, similar to "one handed mode" for the Samsung keyboard. I was wondering if it's possible to install the tablet version of Swype on the note 2? Because there's no "one hand" option for Swype.

We've seen different versions of Swype reported as usable but not without issues on the Note and the Note 2.

I can't find a consensus, other than just give the version you are interested in a try.

Please be sure to report back how it works. ;)

The problem is that I don't want to lose the version I have if it doesn't work. I'm not rooted so I can't back it up.

for anyone interested, it half worked: the tablet version displayed just like it does on a tablet, but it was too small to use accurately on the note2. also, you couldn't swype! you could still type but not swype. it said that the version didn't have a valid key... or something along those lines.

i also tried downloading the beta version and installer on the tablet and pushing it onto the note2, but when i installed it on the note2 it looked like the regular phone version (not the tablet version) although the version # was the same as the tablet's.

i also lost the version of swype that the phone came with. any way to get that back without using beta??
