Swype Trial Period Ended?!?! wtf

After noticing on another thread that some people who signed up for beta testing swype were getting invite emails I checked my email I get one, but tried to log on to swype.com anyway. To my surprise, I was able to login and I'm finally in the beta group. So, if you've signed up and haven't gotten an email, it wouldn't hurt to try to login to see if you can. I'm now happily and legally swyping away. :o
 
Thanks for the 1.56... but, funny thing: I signed for the beta way back when, and like others who've posted here, I have been unable to login to myswype using the usr/pwd I created... so I've used the .apks in the forums (including the one posted here today) to install the program and then just now, I got an email from them saying that I'm now allowed to login and get the beta. So apparently they knowingly blocked some of us from getting in and didn't tell us. I thought for a while that maybe I was crazy and didn't sign up for the beta! Wierd. Anyone else have this happen?
 
This all reminds me of a story I heard...

Charley was running around texting his friends on his eris when a big bad company took away his swype. Of course being a nice guy he did not ask for a new copy from the forums. But one day something arrived via PM and his phone was back to normal! Thank god his mom taught him patience right?

installed swyupe yesterday had it for a day and its gone again. Will this keep happening? does this happen with the other app?
 
Thank the good lord! I never received an email from them about joining the beta group so I logged in anyway like someone said to above and had it "resend" me the email. It worked and now I am swyping again. A full day without was about to make me go nuts. So if you don't have it go sign up for beta and get swyping!
 
If you get if from an official beta invitation do you need to download and use the installer that comes with it? When I downloaded it from previous links, I just installed it using Astro.

Yes, I think you have to use their installer, because it has you log in before it downloads Swype. You never actually get your hands on the apk.
 
You guys can search xda for a link. I won't say where or link to it because I got in trouble already just for asking to link it. Good luck.

So, after the first scare and the expiration of Swype I decided to sign up for their email distribution...got this email today after I was already back up and running Swype
