Help swype update and optimus m PLEASE HELP!!

I have an optimus m and it came with swype keyboard as the main imput method...I keep reading about an update with swype,can anyone help me on how I can receive this update?Please!!! I'm somewhat a newbe
 
It doesnt update on optimus m.. off the swype website "If your phone came pre-installed with Swype
DO NOT download (it won't work)" there might be a work around but that what i found...
