Help Swype?

Has anyone installed and used the new SWYPE (beta) on this device?

I have and find that it works for a bit and then just stops.....when it stops working....i can touch single letters and they'll be recognised but any actual swipes are simply ignored.

A de-install and then re-install of the SWYPE application resolves this problem, but I believe that it happens again after every reboot.

Anyonje else experienced this?

It's a problem caused by the fast start-up option, basically swype doesn't start up properly if you turn off your phone and restart. An easier method for getting it to work again is to long press on a text box and change input method to the normal keyboard and then back to swype everytime you restart your phone.

I've got swype running on mine and I've had absolutely no problems at all. Still getting used to using it, but think I'll stick with it.

As far as the SWYPE application goes I think that its great :) and when the Beta ends I will happily pay to continue using it.

Although I do hope that the recently talked about HTC Trace from Sense v3.0 will be just as good and will get back ported to our devices.
