Root Sync broken after root

Im a bit baffled on this one... so after i rooted my evo 4g, my sync and notifications seem to be broken. My gmail is not auto-syncing and im not receiving notifications for facebook, instagram ect... though I am receiving regular text/mms notifications. I also have an email account set up through active exchange and that syncs and notifies fine.. i have recently flashed the senseless midnight rom and the problem is still the same. I have checked settings and sync settings for the google account and everything is as it should be. Any ideas?

NOne, its the same for me, says "sync is currently experiencing problems and will be back soon" I can get my email just fine and when i flash a new rom it usually automagically reinstalls all my progrms for me . I personally dont want my phone telling me whenever i have a new email, it would just ding all the time so I do not miss that. dont know what else to tell you.
