Help Sync can't connect

I've done a search and can't find a solution to this issue. When I plug in my phone to the desktop, with debugging, and select "sync" i get a error message saying it can't locate HTC sync on my computer.


has there ever been a fix for this issue as it seems from the search many people have this problem. i have the current version of HTC sync installed, debugging activated, click on sync on my phone and then wait.

You need to install "Sync" on your computer. I did & it proved to be worthless.

There should be an installation CD that came along with your Droid Incredible. It'll have HTC Sync and the device driver.

yes, it did, but that is a much older version of HTC sync. I have installed the latest version from the HTC web site. still its hit and miss with the sync. 8 times out of 10 it wont work. I reboot the phone and the computer, then sometimes it will work, sometimes not.
