Help Sync crashes windows

Hi,

I have a Droid2 Global phone (version 2.2) which I recharge with a cradle hooked into a PC running XP Pro SP2 via a USB.

I am having a number of problems, as follows:

1. When certain apps are run whiile the phone is connected, especially media players, XP crashes.

2. When the computer is restarted, the boot process will hang if the phone is connected.

3. Every time the phone is connected to the UBS port, the "Motorola Driver Installation 4.6.0" process runs and has to be cancelled. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling this several times, but it still happens every time,

Any ideas?

I've encountered similar problems with the D1 I used to have on my Vista PC. I also would like an answer if anyone has one.
