Help Sync error using LG PC Suite IV

Hi,

I tried Syncing the contacts between phone and PC using LG PC Suite IV software, but when i click on Sync it gives me a message stating that "LGUX.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close...."

See the attached screen shot for details.

Please could someone help me on this?

LG Sync is pretty badly supported by LG.

Are you using the latest version? Try updating, if not.

I have 4.2.42 which works, but the version I updated to in March failed with the phone.

I tried installing 4.2.51 version from the www.lgmobiles.com website but this time i didn't get the error that i reported first time but this time when i clicked on Sync, it took a long time but failed saying that "No response from device"

Any help?

That's the same error that I had with my P500 and 4.2.51

I used to have the same issue when intalled pc suite 4 from SD card.

I've dowloaded PC suite from LG Air Sync
Than I retrieved micro SD card and now it works!

I was also unable to sync via LG PC Suite IV, I use outlook 2010 on windows 7 (x64). The program times out or crashes as soon as you click sync or 'Contacts' to try and point to your outlook folder for syncing contacts.

I found a workaround (before I found the suggested links on this page):
- on your PC: you can export your outlook contacts to CSV format,
- on your PC: in the browser import the contacts csv file into Gmail Contacts (csv),
- then on your phone: set up the 'Accounts & Sync' section on your phone to sync your contacts from gmail down to your phone.
* the same can be done for outlook appointments.
