Help Sync Issue

Newbie
Hi

I just added a new contact to my Google account using the web but it does not appear on my phone. Any ideas why that could be?

I have the same issue with a calendar I created on the web. I cannot see that calendar on my phone!

Regards

Patrick

I'm not big on calendars but can you go to your phone's settings, accounts, and see if they appear there?
Did you install an app on your phone as a client to the calendar?

Also, for the contact. Make sure your phone has syncd..
Go to settings, accounts, Google, tap your email address, turn off contacts then back on again and that should force it to sync

Hi

I checked my Google account on my phone. Everything has a last sync date of today except my Calendar. I turned sync OFF and then ON again for Calendar and still the last sync date shows as way in the past. It says "syncing now..." for a few seconds and then nothing.

Any ideas?

Patrick

When you turned sync off and on, did the 'Last synced' times update for your calendar? And there's no little arrow circle next to the On/Off switch? If so, you're good and the calendar should show up.

Maybe try a reboot (grasping at strawers)

There is a little arrow circle next to the On/Off switch.

That circle indicates sync failure. And if sync fails, then of course the sync date doesn't change, doesn't update.

It may straighten itself out. Let it ride for another day or two. A couple of times a day, switch it off/on to try to force a sync.

Try going into calendar settings and unchecking all of the calendars, force a sync, then re-check them. That's worked for me in the past. You can also try going into (phone) settings/apps/calendar and clearing cache, that also has worked.
