I have a HTC EVO. I am running HTC Sync v 3.0.5511 on my work PC. I originally installed this version about 3 weeks ago and configured the Sync Manager to sync people and calendar. It worked fine for about 10 days then stopped syncing. When I opened the application I noticed that the on/off options for selecting calendar and people sync were grayed out. I called the HTC sync support line and was told this typically means Outlook is not being recognized by the application. They had me navigate to Internet Options --> Content and verify that my email client was showing as Outlook - which of course it is.
Recommendation was to uninstall and reinstall. Which I did and it worked for a few days and now the people and calendar options are again grayed out. I do not have admin rights on my PC so in order to uninstall and reinstall I have to call the help desk and get temporary admin permissions, time consuming and not a good option.
Does anyone have any suggestions, thoughts, ideas or experience with this issue and a good resolution? Or can you suggest another client/application that will consistently sync people and calendar?
