Help Sync Problem with new Phone

Upgraded from samsung galaxy I GT-I9001 to Note, problem is that i cound not add google account to sync with the new cell. The same google account in the old phone, I have already deleted by restoring the old phone to factory set up condition, so why not i can add same google account to my new phone.
Am i missing something thereby retriving my google account to the new phone and also the android applications of my old phone to new one.
Your advice will be great help.

Solved by factory reset form application>> Setting>> Privacy, but before that take all your contacts to sim card/ext. sd card (remove it before reset) to avoid loss of data. Another alternative of log in through youtube application was not successful to my case.
