Help Sync Symbol

Hopefully someone can help and the issue is simple, I checked a couple of older posts and am unable to find a resolution.

For about the last four days, I have noticed that the sync symbol will continually stay in the status bar for hours even all day one of the days. I have checked into the accounts and sync, checked my apps, everything as far as I know is synced. I have removed a few themes recently but no bloatware or anything. I did freeze a couple of system apps to see if I can get away with not using or needing them but that was weeks ago so first are there any system apps that require syncing that I may need to un-freeze and if not what could this continual sync symbol mean. I am rooted and running quietstorms cwm but not the latest, latest which I started to do the other day but didnt get a chance to do...thanks for listening

You can always make all synchronization manual too... or turn off specific things (like disabling everything but contacts, for example, on your primary account)... report back in if the pesky icon remains.

I thought about that but I'd like things to sync automatically because its just too much to do I have 5 mail accounts but I did try to clear the syncs and then recheck it

What email accounts...are they all gmail? It might be a little hassle, but try k9.

3 gmail and 2 yahoo...I tried k9 and could not connect my combined verizon/yahoo so i ditched that and i had maildroid going for a while but that seemed to be acting crazy too...I removed yahoo during my attempt to try those because I heard that its very suspect and it does suck but i unfortunately went back to it because the phone likes it best

and what i noticed for the last few days since that sync icon has been giving me issues is my battey life...i had to plug up my phone at 1030 this morning after just taking it off the charger around 745...something is draining the heck out of my battery and i have the latest build prop that is supposed to improve battery life and it has until the last few days

but granted i am away for work training so i am not near any of my normal surroundings but still this sucks....id hate to do a wipe because it took me forever to get cwm on but i think i was just tired and not comprehending but i have titanium backup pro so i can just wipe and redo my apps but i am wondering now if i should just wipe and stay with the latest update, not root and see how the phone does with that

Do you have Auto-sync checked on the unit?if so uncheck it do a battery pull restart and see if it stopped,could be a corrupted app.I would retry k-9 it works with yahoo fine here,and then it also could be something with the fact that its rooted
