Help Sync to Ical on Macbook Pro?

NoteNewby

Lurker
Hi. Sorry if this has been answered loads.

So, I have a Macbook Pro & want to sync Ical to my new Galaxy Note 10.1. I have tried the Google route & so far done the following:

1. Added my Gmail account & password to Ical on my Mac
2. Downloaded Google calendar to my note 10.1

Ideally what I need to happen is for my Ical on my Mac to duplicate onto my Google calendar on my Note 10.1. At the moment the google calendar on my Note 10.1 & online is blank. It would also be great if when I add an event on Ical for it to turn up on my Google calendar & vice versa. I also have an Iphone 4s which is sync'd to my Mac so If all three could sync, (mac, Galaxy Note 10.1 & Iphone 4s), that would be awesome!

Thanks in advance from this Android newby!

Hi. Thanks for that.

I've done everything suggested in the google guide. However, nothing that is currently on my Ical appears on my Google calendar. If I post an appointment on my google Calendar it appears on my Ical but not the other way round. I really need everything created on my Ical to sync with my Google Calendar.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

This ought to work. I also have an iphone, iMac, Note and use Google calendar as my main personal calendar. The one difference is I haven't downloaded Google calendar to my Note, I just setup the Google account in the s-planner app on the Note (or maybe I set it up in the settings screen, I can't remember). Either way it was pretty seamless and worked really well. The one hitch was initially I was accidentally creating calendar entries in the default s-planner Samsung calendar rather than the google one.

I think initially you should concentrate on the problem of "create an event on ical on the Mac and it doesn't transfer to the online Google calendar" which is more of a Mac / Google issue (let me know if I didn't reword that write but I wanted to be specific). I googled the phrase I wrote above, comes up with a few entries, and I wonder if the very last post here

would solve your problem. Its similar to the problems I had on the Note in that you are may be adding an event on your iCal into the "wrong calendar", and because its not the google calendar, it doesn't sync it up.

Let us know how you get on
