Sync with gmail

[mattdanielc]

Hi guys

Got my new S2 today - love it!

quick question though... I received a new email (gmail) which I saw on my PC - but noticed the phone had no notification of it. Checked the Accounts and Sync section and noticed Google hadn't synced since 12.03 today. I also noticed my signal was weak (but had received a text and phone call)

I turned on wireless and suddenly the phone synced. Then the email showed up. Is this normal - does the phone only sync when wi fi is on??

Cheers

no, it should sync n wifi and 3G, as long as u have an active data connection. in accounts & sync, is background data/auto sync turned on? if so, u should have ur gmail email pushed directly to ur phone
