Help Sync with itunes?

Doesn't Google Music Plus require a constant connection? If it does, then it's a big no for me since I won't be able to access my music in the subway.

if you know you are going somewhere without a connection, while you still have a connection there is a feature in google music that allows you to make music available offline. I haven't actually done it before but I'm pretty sure it's easy.

I am going to +1 the Google Music option as well. Works with Mac and PC, syncs playlists, and keeps a backup of all your music in the cloud. Will download any music you want for local storage on the phone by track, artist or playlist. All of this happens wirelessly, and free. My second choice would be the Motorola Media Link, which is what I had been using before Google Music. It's out of beta now, and stable. Give it a try.

On the Motorola Media Link software, you MUST use the Motorola USB cable that came with your phone. Be sure your phone is set to Mass Storage when hooked to the PC.

If it copies the library into two places, it's because of user error (please don't take offense by that, I'm only confident in saying that because I did it before I realized what was going on). In the software there is a Device/Storage Device menu item indicating SD card memory or Internal memory. That setting changes defaults back to Internal whenever MML is updated for some reason. In my case I had set my sync to SD storage, then a week later an dupdate for MML came out and I updated. Next time I connected my phone, it showed no music or playlists in the window to sync, so I thought WTF... Must have lost my arrangement in the update. So I went and checked them off and re-synced, then suddenly got low storage warnings on the device, and noticed two of every playlist on the device.

Had to go in and manually remove all the playlists from the device, then go in and uncheck all the playlists on the Internal storage. You don't have to go through this if you remember to look at the storage setting if you notice something different - I just ham-fisted my way through it the first time it happened to me.

Even worse, is it pays no attention to any Google Music settings.. If you click the setting to download songs from Google Music, and have synced them from your PC and/or phone, it will create double playlists and songs.

All this has been trial by error for me. I have not tried any phone apps for syncing, and use MML to this day with great success now that I understand some of the nuances.

Good luck!

Sorry - forgot your other question pertaining to VCast Media Manager. I haven't found a way to disable that at all, but it only launches the web page for it to set it up, it's not launching any software as far as I can tell. I simply close the web page when it pops up and ignore it.

iSyncr has worked flawlessly for about 2 years now through the Droid, LG Ally, LG Revolution, Droid 3 and my Droid Bionic. My wife's and my phones. iSyncr WiFi has had some success and some problems. All you need to do is create playlists in iTunes that you want on your phone or use your already existing playlists. Works great for syncing music and videos.

With your phone plugged in, right click on it in your task bar then select "when device connects" then select "do nothing". That will get rid of the web page from launching.

I use Easy Phone Tunes. So simplistic. I don't need any advanced features though. It put my whole library and playlists on which was all I asked, plus free. I then made other playlists with it as well.

I can't believe nobody mentioned Zumocast. I was able to easily tranfser iTunes music and I use a Macbook.
