Just bought my new phone and am trying to sync calendar and contacts with Outlook 2007.
I think I've managed to get the calendar working okay (fingers crossed) but the contacts have been a nightmare. I synced with the Kies software which performed beautifully until I realised that it had stripped most of the addresses out (not all, for some reason) and the new abbreviated addresses now displayed in Outlook - lost for all time. Thank heavens for a backup I did before I started.
As I only needed to sync the phone fields, I wondered if there is a way of specifying which fields to sync?
I keep reading that you can sync with Google Contacts but I need to get my contacts from Outlook to Google Contacts and can't find a simple, foolproof way. Yes, I can export from Outlook to a CSV file and import into Google Contacts but this is a one-time operation, not a true synchronisation.
If anyone knows of a solution that maintains the integrity of contact information through synchronisation, I'd really be pleased to hear from you. Alternatively, are there other manufacturers whose sync operations work?
