Synching Facebook contact names problem

Ok, so, when I go to my contacts, I have a couple names like (ex.) Bob A. I decided to change it to my linked contact from Facebook so that it's Bob Apple. So I save every name and back out. When I turn off my phone later that night, than turn it on the next morning, the contacts have gone back to their original state (like Bob A.)

Any ideas?
 
Yeap, this has happened to me a lot. Forget turning off your phone, it can happen from 5 minutes to a few hours later while your phone is active. My guess is that the syncing wasn't perfected.

I had to end up manually changing the contacts names, which was a HUGE pain. Cause most of my contacts through Gmail are nicknames or where I know them from and such; and I wanted the more professional approach with full names.

Sucks, I made a thread about this a few times, and NO ONE responded. Surprised this isn't been adressed,
