I've recently acquired the Samsung Galaxy S-2 and I'm in the process of transferring all my contacts from my previous phone to this one. I used Bluetooth to transfer it all and that's fine.
The problem starts when I try to sync those contacts with Facebook. I'm using the Facebook app and not the Social Hub, simply because it looks better. I then selected the setting to sync with existing contacts, but nothing happens. I checked my contacts list and there's only the contacts I transferred from my old phone, and they're not linked to Facebook at all.
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but on the contacts display options, I did not check the "All contacts" options under Facebook. If I did that, all the Facebook contacts will be saved on my phone. I don't want that, I only want to sync with the existing contacts. Also, I also selected the option to display only contacts with phone numbers.
So, what am I doing wrong? Do I have to manually link each contact? When I do that, sometimes the contact name changes to his/her Facebook name, which can sometimes not be that person's name at all (like a nickname which I never knew).
