Syncing HTC/Android phone with Mac Book

Hi n00b here

Just a quick question as to whether I can sync an Android phone with a Mac Book? Is it possible?

I currently have an iPhone & want to purchase a HTC desire HD.

My main purpose is to sync address/contacts , pics & music.

There currently isn't any software for Mac such as HTC sync, but you can use the backup function on the phone to backup everything to SD card, then mount your SD card and back this up onto your computer. It works just the same as if you do it with HTC sync except you have more control over the process.
