I did not meant to be rude, I'm just irritated that I spent 470 euro on a smartphone and the one thing that really convinced me to buy the Desire over an iPhone doesn't work. (synchronising with iTunes)
I am on Windows 7 64-bit and my Desire is 2.2 all original, nothing changed I just purchased the phone this morning and been trying to get HTC sync to work and get my HTC recognized by windows 7.
Ok, I am trying again now.
So I deinstalled everything of HTC including all the drivers. Connecting my Desire thru USB and Windows is searching for drivers. Now getting this:
"Device driver software was not successfully installed"
"Unidentified Device - No Driver Found"
What can I do about that? I tryed installing HTC sync but that didn't work so what else can I do?
Edit: I did what stood in the following thread and I can finally access my microsd. (
http://alldroid.org/Default.aspx?tabid=40&g=posts&m=8767).
But I still can not sync with any HTC sync version I tryed. Not with the one delivered with my Desire, not with the one I downloaded from the HTC website. pff
EDIT 2:
Great, finally got it connected with HTC Sync 3. But guess what, now I always have "unknown error occured" when trying to sync. for crying out loud.. :s
