Help Syncing with my Ford

My phone( HTC Inspire) works perfect with my sync, now my music only works with the phone controls. Is this an android issue, because my music worked perfectly on my Iphone. Is there a music player that will work with my steering wheel controls or do I have to live with the phones player. Thanks

Yes, over bluetooth. I have to press the play button on my Inspire to play music, and if I want to advance to the next song I have to advance it on the phone. My volume control work with no problem. My truck has no problem picking up my phone but I have to turn it on and off for the BT to recognize the music player

I'm in the process of taking my Ford out of storage right now. I'll fiddle with it this evening and see what I discover. Last year my iPhone worked quite well, we'll see how it handles the Droid.

I had the Atrix before the Inspire and the only problem I had with the Atrix was I had to turn it off then on to reconnect every time I turned off my truck. Other than that everything on the steering wheel worked. Thats why I'm not sure that its an Android thing.

Indeed, the stock HTC Inspire music player does not work with the steering wheel controls. It streams music just fine, however, skipping songs has to be done manually.

I also have WinAmp installed and it worked with the steering wheel controls. It also works with my iPhone headphones, whereas the stock app does not.

If you plug the phone into the USB you can actually say "play artist The Beatles" and it will pull all Beatles music, or "play track Strawberry Fields" and it will play that track. And then you don't have to worry about skipping tracks!!
