Help System Corruption?

Solice

Newbie
So, to begin, I rooted my Metro PCS LG K7 with Kingroot (Still kinda think it's spyware, but not sure). I used Aparted to partition my SD card, I used Link2SD to link all of my apps to my ext4 partition of the SD card, I use Busybox, and I also use App Ops to control the permissions. A day ago my phone died, and when I powered it back on, I got a warning message saying

Android System
There's an internal problem with your device, and it may be unstable until you factory data reset.

After I went to the home screen, all of the apps that I linked to SD had generic android icons. There were also several apps that had to be re-updated for some unknown reason.

I restarted my phone, and the app icons were back to normal, but even more apps had to be redownloaded. I recreated the mount scripts through Link2SD and tried the optimizing feature of Kingroot, but nothing changed after I restarted my phone. Nothing has gotten worse, and I haven't had to redownload updates, but my phone has gotten notably slower. Any ideas or solutions? Thank you for your time in advance!

On a separate note, I started messing with my app permissions, and now Google Maps won't work. I haven't changed any of the permissions involving Maps except for its ability to read my contacts contacts, but that shouldn't have any effect on Maps. I depend on Maps a lot, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all again!

If you left it with the default "KingUser", rather than changing to SuperSU or SuperUser, then yes it's spyware, phoning home your info to servers in China.

Is your SD card OK, and not duff or counterfeit? If it's a new one, where did you buy it? Check its integrity with SD Insight, and report back what it states.

Last time I tried installing SuperUser by ChainDD (my prefered application) after rooting with Kingroot, I almost bricked my phone. It shut down unexpectedly, rebooted, came back on with an android configuration screen, and then a dead android screen. Scared me crapless. Rebooted, and everything was ok.

I downloaded the app, but couldn't find anything about an integrity check within the app.

So, in short, no I haven't tried installing another root user app. I've been too afraid to. I don't have a lot of extra money, and if I brick this phone, that's it for me.

SD Insight will usually report as the manufacturer details as being "invalid" for fakes, and the stated capacity might be wrong as well.

I've never been good with using console commands, but I'll give it a shot. And let you know. Any idea about the warning message I got though?

On a separate note, I got maps to working again. Apparently, it needs google play services location permission enabled to work to its full extent. I just turn it off and on whenever I need maps.
