Is there an android app similar to the Mac disk Repair utility?

My tablet is experiencing a number of force quits and network delays.

When this type of stuff starts happening on my computer my first step is to Repair the disk and permissions

Im not sure mate but best thing you can probably do is back up what you can and do a factory reset

That's what I'm hoping to avoid, but its what I expect I'm going to have to do.....

Yeah mate. I doubt that just tidying the storage is gona do anything tbh. Im not a hard drive based computer person at all but in android terms, ive never heard of that being a cure for the issues youre having.
Did you recently get a firmware update or install a new app just before the problems started?
Is the tab rooted? if not, you can try booting it into recovery mode and wipe the Cache Partition

I don't know what Mac disk repair utility is, but if you have a removeable SD card, you could plug it into a PC and run "Error Checking" on the SD card. I don't think that's likely to solve your problem but it's probably worth a try.

As Funkylogik said, I'd:
1) Uninstall any recently loaded apps to see if that fixes it.
2) Run a complete Titanium Backup back-up. Do a factory reset (or a cache wipe if you're rooted) and then a complete Titanium Backup restore.
