Help "System Enhancement" update for ICS?

Droidula

For the past week or so, I have been receiving a notification for a new update. I keep ignoring it, as I'm not sure what it's for. My phone is rooted and s-off. I followed the "turn your phone into an Evo 3D" thread, and have not had problems since, so haven't been messing with it at all. I ignored the update that came out since, that was supposed to fix that issue, but this is a different update. Does anyone know what it is, and should I keep ignoring it? I'm assuming I should not take this OTA?

Thanks, OverByter.

I followed the link in the update notification though, which leads here.

It's dated 7/31/2012, and it also makes no mention of fixing the radio or other issues. The only feature I seem to be missing from their list of improvements is the option for a panorama scene in my camera.

It says it's for software version 2.89.651.2 710RD. Mine is currently 1.13.652.2 710RD. Is yours the newer version?

Also, is there any point in flashing the radio you linked to? Is it better than the one from the Leslie Ann fix?

That is the update to Ice Cream Sandwich for Sprint HTC Evo 3D. The 2.89.651.2 710RD software version is specifically for the Sprint Evo 3D. For Virgin Mobile HTC Evo V, it's 1.13.652.2 710 for stock. As stated by OverByter, the 14.65MB update is the radio fix update for HTC Evo V. I installed it and it updated my software to 1.14.652.0 710RD and radio baseband to 1.09.00.0706.

Since you've rooted your phone and turned it into the "evo 3d", you can ignore that update.

Go into setup-system updates-HTC software updates and un check the box for periodically checking server for updates. :D
I was wondering if there was a way to permanently refuse an update, since I like to see what they release even if I don't install it as an OTA. But if it reminds me indefinitely and it gets annoying enough, I could always do that. :-P
