Root System/etc/settings.xml

In thus XML I see parameters for

NFC, FM receiver, FM transmitter and shop mode? Anyone have a clue how to add these features to the ROM? I'm still learning. :)

And in the qosmgr_rules.XML I see attributes for CPU scaling.

I have a feeling that none of these things can be changed. I'm just asking questions. Don't shoot me. LoL

The spirit has a lot of brother/sister/cousin phones. Some of those phones have the technology for nfc and the like. Sadly the spirit doesn't, it's not surprising though to see that in the system xml file though.

That sucks. Please at least say the FM receiver and transmitter is possible.

Hmm, could be, but I don't have too in depth knowledge about what hardware would be needed or what would have to be modded to make it possible. Radio transmits in analog(might be wrong about that but I'm pretty sure I'm right) would need a way to either natively pick it and "read" it, or a way to convert to digital while it was being received.

If I remember right there is FM HD (which is digital) and regular FM which is analog. Someone stop me if I'm wrong. I'd rather have a transmitter that broadcasts on FM station than to receive FM signal.

Transmitting might be a no go, exactly what are you trying to do that you need fm transmission if you don't mind me asking. I'm pretty sure there are some adapters that you can plug into your phone and transmit on public use fm frequencys.

It'd would be nice if I could just do it from there Phone so I wouldn't need to bring an adapter with me any time I jump in someone else's car (non aux input on those stereo). Plus on my home stereo. :)
