System Software Updates

Hi, had my desire for about a year now. Upgraded to 2.2 around 8 months ago without problem. I ramdomly check online for updates but for the last couple of weeks I am getting connection issues, every time I try to check online: Menu > settings > about phone > system software updates > (scheduled check box ticked) and press "Check now" the phone is just constantly checking with the circle thing spinning around. It stays like this forever unless I press back up. It just wont connect. I am using WiFi at home. Every thing else works perfect.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

tell me have you tried switching over to your 1x coverage you should be a ble to pull any software updates (when available) If you really wanted to push an update quickly, check the manufacturer webpage for a download link from your computer

I had the same problem once. I upgraded the software via the update option when i got the phone as new updates where available.

After a while i checked again for updates, due to the mention of gingerbread, and I got the never ending spinning circle.

The only way I could sort it was to 'factory data reset'.

Hopefully someone has a better option for you.
