Help System Sounds randomly shuts off

I have S3 that is only about 2 months old. At seemingly random times during the day the system sounds shuts off. When I go to sounds, all other sounds are still functioning and adjustable but system sounds is off. The system sounds icon at bottom left of the sounds window has a slash through it. And it does not turn on.

Only either by restarting the phone, or a period of time later, does the system sounds return and is adjustable.

I do not have large number of apps and they are all fairly common apps. So not sure what it would be. I returned a previous brand new S3 before this one due to same issue.

If this is the second phone doing the same thing I suspect there may be an app you have installed turning off your system sounds. Do you have any apps like Tasker installed that can be setup to automatically turn phone functions on and off?

No I don't have any tasker apps.

Is it anything to do with Blocking Mode in Settings?

I have Blocking Mode turned off so I don't see how it could be that.

Seems like maybe a factory reset fix but its bit of a coincidence that both had the same bug

Ok thanks. Factory resets are such a hassle but maybe I will try that. I'm not sure what app it could be.

The Jellybean update left some random bugs that can only be fixed by a reset so if it had only happened with the one phone, thats what id be suggesting.
Its just strange or a coincidence youve had same bug with two phones lol.
Yeah factory reset is a total pain even if youre fully backed up
